Abstract:
This exploratory study aims to study occupational stress among
emergency and maternity staff across Oum El Bouaghi wilaya, by
measuring its level ,diagnosing the most visible symptoms, and the
most influential sources, in addition to identifying the most widely
used strategies of coping.
The main results showed that :
- The timing of the work and the absence of social support were the
most influential sources of stress.
- 50 symptoms tended to appear moderate or high among 72.70% of
the sample.
- The most visible symptoms were: psychological symptoms, followed
by physical, symptoms, then behavior symptoms.
- Problem Focus strategies of coping were more used than Emotional
Focus strategies.
