The Executive Board

RECOMMENDS to the Twenty-eighth World Health Assembly the adoption of the following resolution :

“ The Twenty-eighth World Health Assembly,

“ Considering resolution 3300 (XXIX) of the General Assembly of the United Nations on implemen- tation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples by the specialized agencies and the international institutions associated with the United Nations and in which the General Assembly : “ draws the attention of the specialized agencies and the institutions associated with the United Nations to the steps towards decolonization undertaken by the new Government of Portugal, thus enabling these organizations to resume their cooperation with the present Government of Portugal ’,;

“ Considering further resolution EUR/RC24/R10 of the Regional Committee for Europe at its twenty-fourth session;

“ Recalling operative subparagraph (a) of resolution WHA21.34,

“ DECIDES to restore to Portugal the full right to receive assistance from the World Health Organ- ization. ,,
