News of the EDC
The EDC has a new newsletter, Europe at the UAB, which will collect activities, news and publications generated at the UAB about the EU. It will be published in Catalan, Spanish and English and, at the moment, its periodicity will be irregular. All editions will be available in the Dipòsit Digital de Documents de la UAB.
The previous newsletter is now called Actualidad Europea: portal del CDE UAB. It will continue offering monthly sheets of the 25 subjects, but it will not be necessary to wait for the end of the month to check the news, because it will be updated daily.
The IEE coordinates a project on migrations
The Institut d’Estudis Europeus (IEE) coordinates the H2020 project “IT tools and methods for managing migration flows (ITFLOWS)”, since April.
The project, that has a financing of 4.871.830 €, will propose customized solutions to professionals and governments to manage migration.

Webinar about COVID-19 and public policies
The Institut de Ciències Polítiques i Socials (ICPS) organizes the webinar cycle “COVID-19, política i polítiques públiques”, that will consist of dialogues on the impacts of the “new normal” on society, politics, public policies and people.
There will be 4 sessions that will be held on June 8, 15, 22 and 29 (18 h).

UAB Barcelona Summer School (online)
The course “Contemporary Challenges in International Relations”, that is part of the UAB Barcelona Summer School (online), includes the module
“Europe and the challenge of international terrorism”.
The course is held from June 22 to July 10 and will by taught by Alessandro Demurtas, Carlos Martín, Pablo Aguiar y Federico Guerrero.
UAB students have a special price.

Online course on the EU for secondary school teachers
The Institut de Ciències de l’Educació (ICE) organizes, within its program of summer activities, the virtual course “Formació sobre el funcionament de la Unió Europea per a docents de secundària”.
It will take place from July 1 to 14 (30 h) and will be taught by Cristina Blasi, Montserrat Pi, Ferran Brunet and Conxi Muñoz.

What does the European social contract mean and how does it affect the EU?
AmicsUAB has published on its YouTube Channel the reflections on the economist Antón Costa on the dangers of the absence of a European social contract.
The conference was held on January 17 and is part of the Universitat Opina program.

Book “70 anys del Consell Català del Moviment Europeu”
The book presents the history of the CCME, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of its foundation.
The work, written by Núria Miquel, is a team effort coordinated by Jordi Bancaria, former director of the IUEE. It has also had important contributions from members of the CCME. Thanks to his personal testimony, part of this history that was not recorded in the documentary sources has been reconstructed.
