Re-open EU: safe travel and tourism in the EU
The European Commission has launched Re-open EU, a web platform to support the resumption of travel and tourism in Europe safely. It offers real- time information on the borders, means of transportation and tourist services available in the Member States. The fight against COVID-19 from Catalonia
The EU has supported research since the start of the pandemic to find solutions to the health, economic and social crisis caused by the coronavirus.
In Catalonia, several researchers are working on European projects to combat COVID-19. The European Commission Representation in Barcelona has published the five-minute video "La UE lluita contra la Covid-19 des de Catalunya” in which four researchers explain the projects it is working on.
Euroregional funds to respond to the crisis generated by COVID-19
The Euroregion Pyrenees-Mediterranean has launched a call to apply for the Euroregional Aid Fund to respond to the crisis created by COVID-19.
This fund, which has a total of € 700,000, constitutes a specifically response at the Euroregion level to the situation experienced by the actors that operate jointly in the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and the Occitania Region.
The fund is open to projects and actions within the five sectorial domains in which the EPM works: innovation, environment and climate change, higher education and research, tourism and culture.
A wide range of actors can choose: territorial entities, companies, universities, research centers (public and private), associations, foundations, entrepreneurs, etc.

Online conference on employment in the EU
From 23 to 25 June, the European Documentation Center of the University of Granada organizes the XVI Jornada sobre Empleo en la Unión Europea (ON-LINE).
The objective of the conference is to publicize employment opportunities and professional promotion in the EU, with special attention to the selective processes of access to the European public function.
The workshops are limited to a maximum of 50 participants and the opening session a maximum of 300. Attendees will be selected in order of request.

Manifest “Destiny Europe”
Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the entry of Portugal and Spain into the EU, a hundred Portuguese and Spanish personalities have created a platform in which they call for a more united Europe, stronger, more sovereign and more democratic.
It includes a manifest to which you can sign, as well as other participation options: debates, forum, articles, etc.

EduBioMed, an Erasmus+ project coordinated by the UAB
EduBioMed is an Erasmus+ Building Capacity in Higher Education project which aims is to foster education and research in Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves.
The project is coordinated by the Geography Department of UAB and counts of a large partnership made of universities, NGOs, public administrations and professionals from the field.
