Performance Notes & Key for extended techniques:

- Improvise around: Improvise around the provided melody with little restriction.

Refer to/ Draw influence from written material but make your own.

- Build Intensity: Increase intensity of section using dynamics, note content, register etc.

- Respect time indications for improvised sections.





Bend Vibrato: Use bending to create vib (semitone below written pitch).

Lip Trill: Trill (tone above written pitch).

Bend: Produced by half-stopping with right hand.

Duration of bend is open to interpretation of performer. Grace note indicates starting pitch; main note indicates resolution pitch and total duration of both pitches in bend.

Duration: Approx. 4 - 5 mins.

 

Flutter tounging: Very quick tremelo produced by flutter tounging.
