Veterinary Library
The UAB Veterinary Library is a teaching and research support service ascribed to the Veterinary Science Faculty of the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona (UAB). Also gives support to the graduations of Veterinary Medicine and Food Science and Technology imparted on our university.

Access our collections
Open access to the locations and collection of the library. Please leave the books and journals on the trolleys when you have finished to use them.
Access to digital collections (journals, books and databases) through:
o Computers from the library, typing your university identification number (NIU) and password.
o Electronic devices connecting to the UAB Wifi o Eduroam net.
Access from outside the UAB you may use ARE www.uab.cat/biblioteques/are

Different bibliographic information can be searched:
▪ digital collections full text (books or journal articles)
▪ which library they are in, location (section, room, …)
▪ status book (available, on loan, reserved or excluded from loan
▪ access the bibliography from a particular course
You can consult the data on your loans and make arrangements as renews and reservations with “My Account” option
The new month acquisitions are at first exhibitor in the level 0. If you are a UAB member, you can suggest the acquisition of any document,by completing the form found on the website http://www.bib.uab.cat/serveis/adquisicio_documents/
Loan
Graduate students: 10 documents for 7 or 14 days. There are also documents excluded from loan, or limited at weekends (red point). You can renew your loans up 6 times, by Internet “My account”. The delay in the return supposes the application of fines according library service policy: 1 day for each overdue document/day, and 4 days for each overdue document/day at weekend documents.
You can also borrow books from other catalan universities: up to 4 documents for 10 days, renewable four times if they have not been reserved.
