CONTENTS~ As a rule information ©©n~er.ning the use of the RECOMP II oomputer is disseminated through the ,Operating
Manual,
or through theadvertising literature. Ver,y often it is necessary, however, to pass on some of the inf@rmation to
the
users of the computer before a revision to the manual is completed or before any other provisions for publication aremade.
It has, therefore, been decided to issue a aeries of Technical Bulletins which would provide for a rapid means of communication of pertinent teohnicalinf@rmati~n t~ the users and all concerned.
Very often it will happen that modifications to the computer will affect existing programsp this will be distributed in the form of
RECOMP
Te~hnircal Bulletins.A new pr@gramming method developed in the Applied Mathemati~s
Group will always be immediately available to all the users of the computere
Perhaps anexper;im.entalservice rO'lltine will be made available to all the users t~ugh th<e means @f a bulletin rather ~han through ,the public~t~©>ns @f subrout~es which may need Inodification or rellriting as a re,sw.t of experience gained from usage.
It may also be necessary t©> establish a standardized procedure for the preparation of programs or for the preparation of sub=
routines and' this again will be published as a guide in the form of a Te©hnicalBulletin.

It would als\\» be appreciated if' any information on special techniques which have been developed elsewhere, be communicated as quickly as possible t(O) the Industrial Prod\lcts Division and this info~ti~n will then be distributed in the form of a Technical Eulletin. The general form
to
be tollowed when preparing a b:W.letin is outlined in the Appendix I.It is hoped. therefore, that the RECOMP Technical Bulletins will be of assistance t~ all the RECOMP users and programmers.
