The Economic Commission for Africa,

Reaffirming its conviction that the active participation of all

African countries and territories in the work of the Commission is an

essential condition for the achievement of the Commission's objectives.

Considering that resolution 974(XXXVl) of the Economic and social Council expelled Portugal and South Africa from membership in the

Eeonomi* Commission for Africa,

Notins, therefore, that there are no valid legal arguments against the participation of Angola, Mozambique s.-oalled Portuguese Guinea and

South West Africa in the work of the Commission,

Welooming resolution 2145(XXl) of the United Nations General

Assembly, in whioh it decided -that henceforth South West Africa oomes under the direct responsibility of the United Nations",

Having xioted the report of the Executive Secretary (e/CN.U/380 and Add.l) on measures taken in pursuance of resolution 94(Vl),

Reoommends that the Organization of African Unity, determine the representatives of the peoples of the countries concerned and shall so

inform the Executive Seoretary,

Resolution 151 (Yllt) adopted b.y the Commission at its 136th plenary meeting on 21 February 1967

The Economic Commission for Africa,
