Article 31 Proposed Amendments

(1) Proposal of the delegation of Belgium (translation)

'. here measures provided in Part V depend on a ship, aircraft, persons or articles having arrived from an infected local area, the health authority may waive the application of the measures prescribed in Part V, provided that the

State in whose territory the infected area is situated, has applied the measures provided for in paragraph 2 of Article 2$, and has notified the health authority of the port, airport or place of arrival accordingly.

(2) Proposal of the delegation of the United Kingdom

1. The application of the measures provided for in Chapter V shall be limited to arrivals from an infected local area.

2. . This limitation is subject to the condition that the health authority of the infected local area is taking all measures necessary for checking the spread of the disease and is applying the measures provided for in paragraph 2 of Article 25.

(3) Proposal of the delegation of the United States of America This proposal is given in document A3-4/SR/27.
