Reset default Chrome settings
What?
Restore the default settings in your Chrome web browser.
Why?
Ensures the Zoom application used by the exam platform has optimal settings in your browser.
When?
The night before each of your exam days.

How?
1. Open Chrome
2. Click the browser menu icon, located to the
right of your profile icon.
3. Scroll down and select
“Settings”.

4. Scroll down to the
bottom of the Settings page.
5. Click “Advanced”.

6. Scroll down to “Reset and clean up”.
7. Click “Restore settings to their original
defaults”.

X Does not delete saved username/password
information, history or bookmarks you’ve saved in Chrome.

If you have already added the ProctorU Extension to Chrome, it will be disabled when you reset the default settings.

Update on Station Timing
What?
CAPR has added 1 minute to each Pre-Encounter and 1 minute to each Clinical Station to create a 1-minute ‘technical buffer’ in each step of the exam.
Why?
To ensures candidates do not lose any examination time due to the technical requirements of the exam delivery platform.

Update on Station Timing
How does it work?
• The Pre-Encounter countdown timer will begin at 3 minutes for a 10-minute station and 2 minutes for a 5-minute station.
• When the Pre-Encounter countdown timer runs out, you will be automatically moved into the Clinical Station.
• Your video will connect automatically, and you will join audio manually (covered in Part 3 of this supplement).
• At ~ 10:40 for a 10-minute station and ~ 5:40 for a 5-minute station, the Examiner will ask you to begin the station when the countdown timer hits the 10-minute or 5-minute mark, as appropriate.

will need to manually connect your audio in each Clinical Station.
Why?
To ensure a strong audio connection in your Clinical Stations.
When?
During the one-minute technical buffer when you first enter each Clinical Station.
