Calls for Papers for the CHA Annual Conférence

Th© 70th Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Historical Association will be held in Kingston at Queen’s University, 2-5 June 1991. The Programme Committee has chosen four thèmes for the conférence: The 1791 Constitution: political and social change in North America; The politics of memory: the construction and réception of history; The sh’rfting boundaries of private and public life (including 'Women in Universities’, a theme suggested for the 1991 Learneds by the Social Science Fédération of Canada); and Continuing connections: the old world and the new. The Committee invites proposais for papers, research-in-progress sessions and panels on these and other subjects. Proposais should state whether they are for a regular or research-in-progress session, outline the topic on a single page and add enough information to identify the proposées expérience and

The Canadian Historical Association is pleased to announce that almost ail of the 146 papers presented atthe 1989 CHA Conférence in Québec are available in the CHA ANNUAL CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS ON MICROFICHES, 1989. Also included are the complété conférence programme, table of contents, authors’ list and the CHA Presidential Address. This microfiche set offers libraries, historians, history depart- ments, students and other interested individuals and groups the most up-to- date research in both Canadian and non- Canadian history topics. The microfiche is colour coded for easier handling and storage. A spécial rate of $30 is available to CHA members, excluding institutional members, from the Secrétariat, Canadi­ an Historical Association, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario, KIA ON3.
