O trabalho de pesquisa aqui realizado pode ser estendido de várias formas. Den- tre elas, pode-se destacar:
Pode ser feita a implementação de um software gerador da carga de trabalho defini- da pelo TPC-C para permitir um conjunto mais amplo de mudanças na carga de tra- balho do benchmark TPC-C.
Pode ser realizada uma investigação diferenciada de padrões de acesso de I/O (se- qüencial e randômico) na carga de trabalho do benchmark.
Assim que o novo benchmark da TPC, o TPC-E, estiver disponível, podem ser rea- lizados estudos comparativos de uso de I/O e CPU para identificar pontos de melho- ria em relação ao benchmark TPC-C.
