4. 1 Modificações no Projeto de Pesquisa

O projeto foi defendido em Setembro de 2011. Todas as sugestões da banca foram acatadas e modificações foram realizadas no texto.

Durante a execução do estudo, a avaliação fotográfica não foi realizada devido à qualidade das fotografias que impossibilitaram a realização do trabalho.

Quanto à revisão sistemática, no projeto foi planejado a realização de uma revisão sistemática relacionada aos fatores associados e erosão. No entanto, devido à quantidade de dados obtidos, foram formuladas duas perguntas independentes e realizadas duas revisões sistemáticas e meta- análise, sendo uma relacionada à obtenção de uma estimativa da prevalência global de erosão em crianças na dentição permanente, para ter dimensão do problema, e uma segunda para determinar se diferentes componentes da dieta poderiam estar contribuindo para a ocorrência de erosão dentária ou se determinados alimentos poderiam ter um efeito protetor à essa ocorrência..
