Procedures for the computation of selected transport indicators I. Road and road transport

1. Density of road (spatial road density): is computed by dividing the total length of road

network by the area of the country.

2. Per capita road length : is computed by dividing the total length of the road network

by the number of population.

3. Per Capita road expenditure: is computed by dividing the total road expenditure by the

number of population.

4. Road expenditure per length of classified network : Total road expenditure expressed as a percentage of total length of classified road network.

5. Ratio, road budget over natjonahinvestment : Total road budget expressed as a percentage of total national investment budget.

6. Ratio contracting per total amount of road expenditure : Amount invested on contracting expressed as percentage of total road investment ( contracting .+ force

account).

7. Road transport user charges : Sum total of taxes on acquisition, ownership annual taxes, import and other related dues, driving licence fees, taxes on use, tolls and other

special taxes.

8. Ratio of professionals over total employees : Total number of professionals expressed

as a percentage of total number of employees.

9. Ratio of technicians over total employees : total number of technicians expressed as a percentage of total number of employees.

(3) Weighted average loads are computed after weighing the loads of the loaded trucks by the proportion of non-empty trucks over all trucks using the road, both inwards and outwards.
