Preface

This volume collects the papers of two workshops held at the 11th Euro- pean Semantic Web Conference (ESWC 2014) in Crete, Greece. For more detailed information about the 1th workshop on semantic sentiment analy- sis (SSA2014) and workshop on social media and linked data for emergency response (SMILE2014) please refer to the individual workshop prefaces.

The editors would like to thank the SSA2014 and SMILE2014 organizers, the members of the two scientific committees, the authors, and of course, the participants of the workshops.
