Jusqu'à…
On le traduit de plusieurs façons selon le contexte
1)
Distance : to , as far as.
To indique le point d'arrivée Exemple : She will go to London.
Elle ira jusqu'à Londres.
As far as insiste sur la distance parcourue
Exemple : She got as far as her office and turned back.
Elle est allée jusqu'à son bureau et a fait demi-tour.
2)
Temps : until , till , up to.
Exemple : She lived in Manchester until / till 1995.
Elle a habité à Manchester jusqu'en 1995.
In France education is compulsory up to the age of 16.
En France l'instruction est obligatoire jusqu'à l'âge de 16 ans.
3)
Quantités , mesures : up to , as much as , as many as.
Up to indique le chiffre maximum .
Exemple : My car can do up to 120 miles per hour.
Ma voiture peut rouler jusqu'à 190 km à l'heure ( pas plus ! ) As much / many as insiste sur l'idée que c'est beaucoup.
Exemple : He smokes as many as 30 cigarettes a day.

Notez quelques expressions comme :
How far did they go ?… jusqu'où sont-ils allés ? Read down to line 12…..lisez jusqu'à la ligne douze.
So far / up to now / until now …..
How's your new job? Ok so far…….comment va votre nouvel emploi? Jusqu'à présent ça va.
