ABSTRACT

A Comparative Study Of Anthropometrical And Physiological Characteristics Of The First Four Teams In The Basketball Under (14) Years

This study aimed to identify differences in the Anthropometrical and physiological characteristics of the first four teams in the basketball under (14) years. the sample consisted of the top 4 clubs players (under 14 years) in basketball (Riyadi, wehdat, Areha, Jalil ). And by (48) players.Height, upper extremity lower extremity, Arm, and forehand lengths were used Anthropometrics measurable and relative vo2 max (the absolute) anaerobic power, and anaerobic vital capacity tests were use as physiological variables.SPSS Soft ware was used to analyze the data. Results indicated that the mean for Alriyadi club ( who was the first ) was the highest for all the study variables, while analysis of variance revealed differences among the 4 clubs in height and Anaerobic power, these differences were between Alryadi and arena in height in favor of Riyadi. and between Ridai and both Arena and jalil in Fetal capacity in favors of Riyadi. It was recommended to take height and anaerobic vital capacity in to account as their positive influence on the achievement of first ranks and to do further follow up studies on juniors to know their level depending on the physical and Physiological Characteristics.
