(1)Admiral Group plc 6 May 2011 Interim Management Statement Admiral Group plc (‘Admiral’ or ‘the Group’) today releases its Interim Management Statement covering the period 1 January to 6 May 2011. Unless otherwise stated, figures quoted are for the quarter ended 31 March 2011, with comparatives reflecting the position compared against the same quarter in 2010. Comment from Henry Engelhardt, Chief Executive “I’m pleased to report that our business has continued to grow and prosper in the first quarter of the year. “Admiral’s UK car insurance business had another great quarter and has continued to benefit from positive market conditions. We grew rapidly and were also able to raise premiums. We continue to remain focussed on maintaining the quality of our business.” Highlights Group turnover* Q1 2011 increased by 56% to £539 million Group vehicle count increased 33% to 2.9 million Confused.com turnover is flat and margins remain under pressure Our financial position remains strong Performance to date puts us on track to at least meet analysts’ consensus profit estimates for 2011 *Turnover is defined as total premiums written (including co-insurers’ shares) and other revenue Dividend. This brings the total dividend for 2010 to 68.1p per share being 32.4p normal dividend and 35.7p special dividend.
