On ITU-R WP5D #7 meeting

• 11 IEGs submitted 12 evaluation reports and one status report

• ChEG submitted two contributions

– Preliminary evaluation report on 3GPP LTE RELEASE 10 & beyond (5D/650)

• Including TDD and FDD RITs

• Focus on compliance template for technical performance

– Further Clarification on antenna pattern and sector pattern for correlated beam-forming antenna system (5D/645 )

• as additional evaluation method

(3)

Recent work

• Face to face meetings and email discussion were

performed to facilitate evaluation work among members

• Intercommunication with other IEGs

• Evaluation work on LTE-Advanced and IEEE 802.16m technologies

• Discussion and evaluation work on Open Area Rural Model proposed by TCOE India

– Questions and suggestion have been submitted to Forum 3 of the Correspondence Group

– Evaluation is being done according to clarified assumption

(4)

Evaluation work

• Calibrate according to calibration procedure and results provided by IEEE

– Geometry calibration

– System level calibration with DL SU-MIMO 4 x 2 configuration

ÎCalibration results show good alignment with information provided by IEEE

• Evaluation work on IEEE technology

– Focus on downlink cell spectral efficiency and cell edge user spectral efficiency

– Final evaluation results are still in process
