It’s already Friday? Great! Tomorrow is Saturday. I also love the weekend!
B: Demain je vais visiter le vieux quartier de Montréal. Tu veux venir?
Tomorrow I will visit the old neighborhood of Montreal. Do you want to come?

J’aime le week‐end mais c’est déjà fini!
Oh no! Tomorrow is Monday and I have to work! I love the weekend but it’s already over!
B: Demain je dois travailler aussi! À bientôt!

B: Aujourd’hui c’est déjà lundi.

Exercise 1 – remembering the date
Person A has trouble remembering the date and is always one day early. Person B reminds her/him of the right day. Example: mardi ‐ A: Aujourd’hui c’est mardi? B: Non, aujourd’hui c’est mercredi.

You’re on the phone with your friend. Say goodbye to them and when you’ll see them.

Expressing the date in French In French to express the date you say:
Le + Number + Month
Le + Cinq (5) + décembre (Decembre 5) Le + Vingt‐sept (27) + avril (April 27)
For the first of the month you say: “Le premier” for 1.
Le premier juin (June 1)
Before numbers for dates say “Le” and NOT l’. For example le onze (11th) or le huit (8th).

Quelle est la date? What is the date?
Quelle est la date aujourd’hui? What is the date today?
C’est le 15 (quinze) mai. It’s May 15.
C’est le premier mai. It’s May 1.
C’est quand ton anniversaire? When is your birthday?
Mon anniversaire est le 5 avril. My birthday is April 5
