Instruction to authors
Scientific articles
Maximum length: 12,000 words (including references, notes and abstract)
Scientific articles are original contributions, not published elsewhere. The methodological framework and the demonstration techniques must be explicit, regardless the field of the article (theoretical economics, applied economics, analytical review of literature, and s.o).
In order to foster pluralism and interdisciplinary dialogue, the Régulation Review (henceforth RR) is open to a wide span of methods: qualitative fieldwork, quantitative methods, textual analysis, mathematical models, simulations, game theory, and s.o.
These methods may use standard tools in economics or tools coming from other social sciences, as soon as sources and research procedures are used responsibly, are controlled and relevant to the topic of the article.
Scientific articles undergo a double-blind peer-review process. After having accepted the article for reviewing, the Editorial Board (EB) calls two external anonymous referees and an internal referee who is in charge of the article. On the basis of the referees’ reports, the EB can make the following decisions:
Publishing the article without modification
Returning the article to the authors for minor revisions Returning the article to the authors for major revisions Returning the article to the authors for re-submitting Refusal
In case of minor or major revisions, the author shall inform of the modifications done and answer the referees in a separate document. The author has to provide a file with tracked changes.
After considering the second version of the article, the EB can make the following decisions:
Publishing the article without modifications
Returning the article to the authors for minor revisions
Opinions and Debates articles
Double peer review in the EB
If necessary, review by an anonymous external specialist of the subject treated by the article

Length: from 5,000 to 10,000 words (including references, notes and abstract)
Opinions and Debates articles present an ongoing research program or an original and qualified point of view on a topical socio-economic problem. , the Opinion and Debates articles are shorter than scientific articles and undergo a fast-track reviewing process monitored by the EB:
These articles must be well-structured and accompanied with abstracts (250 words in English) and a scientific bibliography.

Articles must be submitted in two separate files: the Title pagetitle page and the main document.
Those files must be named as follow:
title page: RR_Name_titlepage main document: RR_title of the article
Please, prepare your manuscript text using a Word processing package (save and submit in .doc or .rtf format). Files must not be supplied in PDF format.
Manuscripts should be one spaced, including text in tables, legends and references.
The title, the author’s name, institutional affiliation, and full contact details (postal, phone, and e-mail), acknowledgements and a word count should be supplied on the title page which has to be attached as a separate file.

The main document has to be anonymous and should contain title, abstract, keywords, JEL classification and the main body of the document – strictly avoiding self-references.
Authors should pay particular attention to the accuracy and correct presentation of citations and references in the text as well as in the references list at the end of the manuscript.

Language editing:
Particularly if English is not your first language, before submitting your manuscript you must have it edited for language. This is not a mandatory step at the submission stage, but may help to ensure that the academic content of your paper is fully understood by journal editors and reviewers. Moreover it becomes mandatory after acceptance for publication.
