This list of references on rural hygiene was compiled to assist participants in the Technical Discussions on "Public Health Problems in Rural Areas" to be held during the Seventh world Health Assembly, 1954. It is based upon the material available in the WHO Library, Geneva, especially that published during the last ten years, supplemented by reference to the relevant bibliographical souroes including the principal indexing and abstracting periodicals. Although every effort has been made to make the list as representative as possible of geographical areas, it is recognized that it can make no claim to be regarded as comprehensive.
