29-year-old man presented with abrupt onset of gen- eralized painful, burning skin eruptions that occurred 6 hours after taking ibuprofen for his sore throat. The physical examination revealed numerous discrete, vari- ably sized, well-demarcated, round-to-oval, dusky red patches with a few overlying blisters and erosions on his trunk, proximal extremities, lip, and foreskin. He reported having a similar skin rash several years ago after he took over-the-counter cold medication. His family history was unremarkable.

The most likely diagnosis is

1. Stevens-Johnson syndrome 2. Erythema multiforme 3. Urticaria

4. Pemphigus vulgaris

5. Generalized fixed drug eruption
