The Canadian Guildance and Counseling Association conference com mittee wishes to bring to your attention the biennial conference to be held in Toronto, May 30 through June 2, 1971. It is time NOW to begin work on research and ideas leading to a paper and/ or program for this conference. Some representative areas might be:
-Administration and Counseling -Behavior Modification
-College and University counseling -Computer Applications
-Counsellor Education
-Elementary School counseling -Family counseling
-Group counseling -Human Development -Measurement and evaluation
-Role definition in the helping profession
-any innovative, or provocative program considered of interest to counselors
Who may submit a proposal:
Any member of the helping professions who considers he or she has a topic of interest to the counseling community. Submit Proposals in French or English to:

CANADIAN GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING ASSOCIATION
OBJECTIVES
I. To be alert to the basic philosophies under lying educational, economic and social goals, especially as they relate to the indi vidual's freedom and responsibility, and to keep in the forefront of developments in human understanding;
2. To foster the interests and endeavours of all those who are engaged in guidance and counselling by promoting contacts amongst diverse persons, agencies, organizations, professional associations, businesses and institutions participating directly and ac tively in the work of educational, vocation al, and personal guidance and counselling for youth and adults;
3. To provide facilities for an exchange of information relating to guidance and coun selling;
4. To work toward the development and co ordination of existing guidance and coun selling services;
5. To work through community and private agencies and governmental and education al authorities, and collaborate with other professional associations towards improved conditions, resources, research and facili ties for guidance and counselling; 6. To provide an official voice for Canada in
international associations and conferences relating to guidance and counselling,
