GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
Every article submitted to the Editorial Board in order to be published is to endorse a scientific value and to introduce an original outcome in the field of development matters.
Layout:
- The article must be typed with a double spacing, and cannot be longer than 7,000 words (footnotes included);
- Bibliographic references have to be:
1/ announced in the text, between brackets (Name of the author, year)
2/ developed and sorted in alphabetical order at the end of the article as follow:
Name F., year, Title, Location, Publisher.
Name F., year, “Title”, in Name F. and Name F., Title, Location, Publisher.
Name F., year, “Title of the article”, Journal, n° X, pp. X-Y.
3/ this list is limited to the references announced in the text.
- Footnotes are inserted at the bottom of every page, with following numbers.
Sending your paper to the Editorial Board
Your manuscript is to be sent to the board in two pieces:
- 1 hard copy, without your name
- 1 electronic copy (Word) with the full contact details of the author(s) (e-mail address, phone number, postal address).
We also need:
- the title in English and in French
- abstracts in English and in French (no longer than 145 words each) - 4 or 5 keywords in English and in French
- the institution(s) where the author(s) is/are working, the main subjects of research, the status of the author(s).
Illustrations and figures
- tables and charts are to be inserted directly in Word or sent separately and announced in the text. Please, avoid Excel. Please, formate as little as possible;
- graphs, maps and pictures are to be sent separately and announced in the text.
Please, use .tif or .jpg AND save in 300dpi (not less, not more).
Conditions:
When the article is complete and received by the Editorial board, it is reviewed by at least two peers. The publication is decided by the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board keeps the author(s) posted about the potential modifications and is competent for formal changes.
Validation by the Editorial Board does not bring any guarantee as for the date of the publication.
No article which has already been published in or submitted to another journal can be published in Revue Tiers Monde
