FOREWORD
The Agency's transport regulations* lay down certain authorizations and approvals which have to be given by an appropriate competent authority for national and international transport of radioactive materials.
As a supplement to its Regulations the Agency has prepared this list of National Competent Authorities based on information supplied by the respective Member States. It will be updated annually.
In the Regulations the International Vehicle Registration Identification Code (VRI) of the issuing country is included in the identification mark of each competent authority approval certificate. The available Vehicle Registration Identification Codes have therefore been included in this list**.
Specific information on package approvals issued by individual Member States is available from the competent authority of that country. The Agency has established a compilation of valid package approval certificates from Member States to respond to technical and administrative inquiries concerning such approvals (Directory of National Competent Authorities' Approval Certificates for Packages, Shipments, Special Arrangements and Special Form Radioactive Material, IAEA-TECDOC-442).

Aux termes du Règlement de transport de l'Agence*, des autorisations et approbations doivent être données par une autorité nationale compétente, faut pour le transport intérieur des matières radioactives que pour leur transport international.
L'Agence a dressé la présente liste des autorités nationales compétentes sous forme d'un supplément à son Règlement en se fondant sur les renseigne- ments fournis par les Etats Membres. Cette liste est révisée annuellement.
D'après le Règlement, l'indicatif de pays pour la circulation internationale des véhicules doit figurer dans la cote de chaque certificat délivré par une autorité compétente. L'indicatif de pays, lorsqu'il existe, est donc signalé dans la présente liste**.
Les détails concernant les certificats d'agrément de colis délivrés par un Etat Membre peuvent être fournis par l'autorité compétente de ce pays.
L'Agence a établi un répertoire des certificats d'agrément valides des Etats Membres afin de pouvoir répondre aux demandes de renseignements techniques

INTRODUCCIÓN
En el Reglamento de transporte* publicado por el Organismo se establece que el transporte nacional e internacional de materiales radiactivos requiere ciertas autorizaciones y aprobaciones de una autoridad competente.
Como suplemento del Reglamento, el Organismo ha preparado la presente lista de autoridades nacionales competentes basándose en los datos que le han facilitado los Estados Miembros. Anualmente se publicarán listas revisadas.
De acuerdo con el Reglamento, en el rótulo de identificación de cada certificado de aprobación emitido por una autoridad competente debe incluirse el Código de Identificación Internacional de Registro de Vehículos correspon- diente al país expedidor. Los Códigos de Identificación de Registro de Vehículos disponibles se han incluido, por lo tanto, en la presente lista**.
Las autoridades nacionales competentes disponen de información espe- cífica sobre aprobaciones de embalajes otorgadas por Estados Miembros. El Organismo ha establecido una compilación de certificados válidos de aprobación de embalajes procedentes de Estados Miembros, con el fin de poder responder a consultas técnicas y administrativas referidas a dichas aprobaciones.
