The authors regret that an error appeared in the above article.
The aortic banding period of pigs was inadvertently stated to be 12 weeks in the second last line of the section ‘Myocardial
Hypertrophy’ in Result (page 71). The aortic banding period was in fact eight weeks for induction of left ventricular hypertrophy
in this study. The animals developed significant myocardial hypertrophy following eight weeks of aortic banding. As a result, the
above corrigendum does not affect the results and conclusion of the paper.
