On 500 MHz volume saddle coil

This technical report includes:

 description of the coil (page 2)

The probe for water filter MR imaging incorporates a linear inductively coupled volume RF coil.

RF resonator (saddle coil) has permanent tuning and matching. Inner diameter of the resonator is

35 mm, its length is 90 mm. Coil elements are made of 1/2

” adhesive copper tape attached to the

acrylic pipe. On each side eight 6.2 pF capacitors are used to achieve 500 MHz resonance

frequency.
