The Economic Commission for Africa,

Recalling its resolution 27 (III) :t'e'l.uesting thAecutive Secretary to undertake a thorough study of the possibilities of establishing an African Jevelopment Bank;

ConSidering the report of the Executive Secretary (E!CN.14/129.

Corr.l) of 8 Jar,uary 1962, relating to the feasibility and necessity of suah a Development Ba~~,

Aocepts the prinoiple of tile establishment of an hfrican Development Bank, subject to further investigations defined belo14;

CDnstitutes at its fourth session a committee composed of nine meober countries;

Instructs the above committee:

(a) to make all necessary governmental and other .:lontacts relevant to the establishment of the bank;
