Giusti-Miranda[13] and,

for minimizers ofintegrals

in 1975-1977.Nevertheless Uhlenbeck

in a well-known paper in1977, proved that,

the slowexponential growth,

of class A2 studied in the scalar case in

A main reason to
classify elliptic problems
with respect togrowth
conditions relies
on
the fact thatgrowth
conditionsinvolving
powers, like in(1.3), give
rise touniformly elliptic problems

on the contrary, moregeneral growth conditions,
as forexample
theexponential growth conditions, give
rise tonon-uniformly elliptic problems.
In this paper we do not assume
