From the 18th October 2017 to the 18th February 2018, the Bibliothèque de documentation internationale contemporaine (BDIC) presents the exhition Et 1917 devient Révolution...

The centenary of the Russian revolutions coincides with that of the
“Bibliothèque-Musée de la Guerre”, the ancestor of the BDIC, which from the outset had the objective of collecting original documents produced in the heat of events, directly on the ground.
Unique documents –posters, leaflets, films, photographs, illustrated press and other objects collected during the events– allow us to understand how 1917 becomes “revolution”, disrupting the political, economic and social universe of millions of men, women and children in Russia and around the world.
