As far as thefinishing pigs
areconcerned,
thegrowth performances
were almost
equivalent,
the intake of the dietcontaining sulphite yeast being

The food conversion ratio obtained with alkane
yeast
was a little lower than thatresulting
fromthe other
diets,
but the carcasses obtained with thisyeast
so as withsoybean
oil-meal were alittle leaner than those obtained with
sulphite yeast
and fish meal. These trials show that alkaneyeast
constitutes a very suitableprotein
source for thepig, taking
into account itsimportant
content of available
lysine.

Yeast,
