Contenu (principales missions)
The Advanced Information Technologies (TAI) laboratory at THALES is involved in cutting-edge IT projects aiming at the specification, design and integration of security and computer network infrastructures. THALES personnel has experts in several scientific fields: networking, especially for fixed and mobile IP network design, security architecture and information system. TAI is in charge of transferring technological building blocks to Thales’ business lines
The internship will be held in the scope of a european project which aim is to trial several UAV use cases that cover eMBB, uRLLC and mMTC 5G services, and validate 5G KPIs which apply to support such challenging use cases, and to enhance them with powerful features. This project will drive the UAV verticals and 5G networks to a win-win position, on the one hand by showing that 5G is able to guarantee UAV vertical KPIs, and on other hand by demonstrating that 5G can support challenging use cases that put pressure on network resources, such as low-latency and ultra-reliable communications, massive number of connections and high bandwidth requirements.
During this internship, the candidate, after a thorough state of art review, will have to:
propose an API to describe the tests and configure the use-cases
deploy a data analysis tool
propose a log file format that will contain the necessary data and that will be compatible with the data analysis tool
propose data analysis algorithms
present in the tool the results of the tests to facilitate their analysis.
