The first version of the travel support system (TSS) was presented around 2004. Since that time, we have observed an increase in the availability and speed of the Internet, the development of social networks and web services. The travel support system aims to deal with the problem of information overload and attempts at aiding travelers in finding only vital (travel-related) information.

The aim of this presentation is to present current state of the art of user profiling, cross-referencing data sources, and to discuss how the idea of the travel support system has evolved over the years.

In this context, the initial prototype of the new TSS will be presented.
