MM. MONNIOT (Nancy) et BIGUET (Lille) m'ont confié pour examen une petite collection de Reptiles qu'ils ont rapportée de Chypre, à la suite d'un voyage effectué en 1962. La faune herpéto-logique de cette île, pourtant très fréquentée, étant mal connue, je donne la liste des espèces recueillies.
BOULENGER (1913) signalait 23 espèces de Reptiles et d'Amphi-biens pour l'île de Chypre. Ce chiffre n'a pas varié depuis cette date.

Les spécimens cités ne divergent pas notablement des descrip-tions originales. Il n'y a donc pas lieu d'insister sur leurs caractères morphologiques. Il reste cependant un intéressant problème à résou-dre. Les Agama stellio stellio de Chypre et de Palestine diffèrent notablement l'un de l'autre, bien que leurs populations respectives soient très homogènes. Il conviendrait de réviser totalement le « Rassenkreis » de cette espèce. Mais je ne possède pas encore suffi-samment de matériel pour aborder la question.
