The type 3, see ISO/TC22/SC26/N37, is a vehicle capable of transporting one person whilst seated

in his wheelchair

This vehicle correspond at segment M1 inferior or equal 8 seats in addition to the driver’s seat

Frontal impact, forward facing

Wheelchair, manual, electric (light heavy), approved for transport

Restraint devices, wheelchair tie down occupant restraint system (WTORS), and restraint system,

approved for transport
