Postdoctoral Positions Algebraic geometry

Hyperk¨ ahler manifolds: categories, cycles, and cohomology

• Starting date: September 1st, 2020 (flexible).

• Duration: two years, extendable to three.

• Locations: Coll`ege de France, Universit´e Paris-Diderot, Universit´e Paris- Sud (Orsay), Bonn Universit¨at.

• Salary: comparable to FSMP in France and to HCM in Germany.

• Contact: [email protected]

• Deadline for application: December 31, 2019. The decisions will be made by February 15, 2020.

Applications are invited for four postdoctoral positions funded by the ERC Synergy grant HyperK. The subject of this ERC project is algebraic geometry, in particular hyperkhler manifolds: categories, cycles, and cohomology, and it is based at four institutions:

• Coll`ege de France (PI: Claire Voisin),

• Universit´e Paris-Diderot (PI: Olivier Debarre),

• Universit´e Paris-Sud (PI: Emanuele Macr`ı),

• Bonn Universit¨at (PI: Daniel Huybrechts).

There are similar positions at each of these four nodes and the applications will be automatically considered for all four positions. If you have a preference for one place, please mention it in the text of the email.

The postdoctoral researchers will have access to funding for travel and vis- itors. These are research positions; no teaching is required. French or German language skills are not required.

How to apply

The candidates must have completed their PhD by August 31, 2020, or before the starting date.

Applicants should provide, by email to [email protected]

• an up-to-date CV,

• a list of publications,

• a research statement describing both past research and future research plans (max. 5 pages),

• two letters of recommendation (sent directly by the reference writers by email to [email protected]).
