Preface

This Second International Workshop on Semantic Web (IWSW 2016) was part of the series of international workshops organized by the Semantic Web Research Group at University of Informatics Sciences in collaboration with others persons and institutions in Cuba. This workshop was a forum for the semantic web and linked open data communities, where practitioners in industry, academia, and others interested in these topics were welcome for presenting theoretical and applied research work, share experience and discuss the latest scientific results and technology innovations around semantic technologies and linked open data.

Each paper proposal has been reviewed at least by two members of the Pro- gram Committee of the Workshop, and on the basis of their recommendations, 8 documents have been selected for publication and presentation.

We would like to thanks to Program Committee members for their valuable contribution to the high quality of the paper presented in the workshop. They are:

We believe that an ontological representation of time series observations is an important addition to the Semantic Sensor Web, and the practical use of this

The employed approach to generate DBpedia URIs is to take the unique article name and prepending the DBpedia specific namespace (http://dbpedia.org/resource/) to it; however,

We have argued so far in this paper that a simple model of provenance, based around the central three provenance operators and the storage of provenance traces, can be used on

Compelling research prototypes can help communicate ab- stract, elusive big ideas and visions convincingly to every- one regardless of their technical backgrounds and interests,

For each URI, background information about the language from several sources is provided, for instance language names in many languages, geographical regions (using URIs based on

The national semantic web infrastructure model being built by the FinnONTO project in Finland [13] argues that ontology services are needed for three major user groups: 1)

In section 3 we describe the complete architecture of the system consisting of the following components: (1) Semantic Radar, a browser extension used to detect presence of Semantic

We have presented a lightweight access control framework for RDF triple stores based on requirements derived from usage scenarios within a Semantic Wiki application.. The basic idea
