Theeditorsreadyourletterwithgreatinterest.Yourightlyques- tionedthepertinenceandcomprehensivenessofthereferencesof anarticle.YoualsoquestionedthepositionofthejournalOTSR- RCOTinthefieldinternationalorthopedicsurgery,whichinyour opinionseemstolimitthepromotionofFrenchstudies.
TheoriginalversionofThierryBégué’sarticledidnotinclude, itistrue,referencestothestudiesoftheToulousegroupthatyou mention.Icanassureyouthatatnotimeduringthereviewprocess didthereviewersortheeditormanagingthemanuscriptwishto ignorethesestudies.Inordertocomplytotheguidelinesforlength ofourjournal,theauthorsreducedthelistofreferences,andonly keptthosethatweremostpertinenttothetopic.Becausethiswas atechnicalnote,thereferencesweremainlytechnical.Wearewell awareoftheimportantworkbyUthezaandhisgroupinrelation tocalcanealtrauma,butwefeltthatthesestudies,whichmainly concernclassifications,werenotdirectlyrelatedtothepaperbeing presented.
RestassuredthattheprimarygoalofOTSR-RCOTistopromote FrancophoneandspecificallyFrenchorthopedicsurgery.Morethan 70%ofthearticlespublishedintheEnglishtranslationcomefrom

Atthesametime,wehavemadenoteofyourremarkandwill becarefulnottoomit,whenpertinent,Frenchreferences.
