Ontario History et History of Education Quarterly et il collabore au Dictionnaire biographique du Canada. Il est coéditeur de Educating Canadlans: A Documentary History of the Public Schools. Au cours des deux dernières années de sa vie, bien qu’atteint d’une maladie qui ne cesse pas de s’aggraver, il continue de participer pleinement à la vie universitaire. Il est un membre enthou siaste du Landon Project Research Group à 1**Université Western et il contribue à la
rédaction de trois exposés présentés aux congrès des sociétés savantes américaines et canadiennes au printemps de 1978.

BRITISH LIBRARY CLOSING WEEKS
The British Library has announced that the annual closing of its Reading Room and other public rooms of the Department of Printed Books for shelf
checking, cleaning and repairs is being moved to the week following the last complété week in October. There is no longer a closed week in May. The dates of the annual closing of the Manuscript Students’ Room and the Oriental Read’ag Room remain unaltered: the last complété week in October and the week preceding, respectively. Thus, 1979 closing weeks are as follows:
Oriental Students’ Room, 15-20 October,
Manuscript Students’ Room, 22-27 October, and Reading Room, etc., 29 October-3 November. Marilyn Barber has replaced B. Carman Bickerton
as History Editor of the Carleton Library Sériés, effective February 1979. Ail communications, proposais, and suggestions pertaining to History publications in the Sériés should be directed to the new editor, Department of History, Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario.
