RESOLUTION No. 549
2010-2011 REPORT OF THE TROPICAL AGRICULTURE RESEARCH AND HIGHER EDUCATION CENTER (CATIE)
The EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, at its Thirty-first Regular Meeting,
HAVING REVIEWED:
The document “CATIE Report for the 2010-2011 Biennium” and the presentation on said report made to the Executive Committee by the Director General of the Center, Dr. José Joaquín Campos,
CONSIDERING:
That CATIE’s mission is to improve human well-being and reduce rural poverty through education, research and technical cooperation, promoting the sustainable management of agriculture and natural resources; and,
That, by means of Resolution IICA/JIA/Res. 441 (XIV-O/07), the IABA charged the Executive Committee with the responsibility of receiving and analyzing CATIE’s reports and plans and requested that, in future, the Director General of that Center forward directly to the General Directorate of IICA the version of CATIE’s biennial report and plans that have been accepted by the Executive Committee,
RESOLVES:
1. To accept the 2010-2011 Biennial Report of the Tropical Agriculture Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE).
2. To thank the Director General of CATIE and his staff for presenting the “2010-2011 Biennial Report.”
