RESOLUTION No. 518

2010-2020 STRATEGIC PLAN

The EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, at its Thirtieth Regular Meeting, HAVING SEEN:

Document IICA/CE/Doc. 557 (10), “Proposed 2010-2020 Strategic Plan,”

CONSIDERING:

That, at its Twenty-eighth Regular Meeting, the Executive Committee adopted resolution IICA/CE/RES. 490 (XXVIII-O/08), in which it approved the Report of the Special Advisory Committee on Management Issues (SACMI), which also contains the report of the Steering Committee responsible for the assessment of technical expertise at IICA and the proposed follow-up;

That, in its report, the Steering Committee recommended preparing a strategic framework and a strategic plan for IICA for the period 2010-2020, as part of a comprehensive strategy for repositioning the Institute so that it could respond to the requests for technical cooperation from the Member States and correct some structural problems that have accumulated;

That the Director General presented the first version of the 2010-2020 Strategic Plan to the 2010 Regular Meeting of the SACMI, held on July 20 this year; and

That the SACMI recommended making adjustments to the 2010-2020 Strategic Plan, which were incorporated by the General Directorate,
