COREY PRIZE

The Albert B. Corey Prize in Canadian- American Relations, jointly sponsored by the Canadian Historical Association and the American Historical Association, will be awarded in June 1992 at the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Historical Asso­ ciation. The prize, which carries an award of $2,000 (Canadian), will be awarded to the best book dealing with the history of Canadian-American relations or the history of both countries.

The deadline for entries is February 1,

1992. Ail entries should be clearly marked “Corey Prize”. Books bearing an imprint of 1990 or 1991 are eligible for the 1992 prize. One copy of each entry should be sent to each of the following jury members: 1. Professor Linda Kealey

The Canadian Historical Association is pleased to announce its fifteenth Sir John A. Macdonald Prize compétition. The prize in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded by the Canadian Historical Association at its Annual Meeting in June 1992, for the non- fiction work of Canadian history “judged to hâve made the most significant contribu­ tion to an understanding of the Canadian past”.

Publishers wishing to submit Works with a 1991 imprint should forward one copy of each entry to each of the following jury members by January 15,1992:

The Canadian Historical Association is pleased to announce its Ferguson Prize compétition. The prize in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to a Canadian citizen or Canadian immigrant who has published an outstanding scholarly book in a field of history Other than Canadian

History during the past year. The award will be given at the CHA Annual Meeting in June 1992.

The Régional History Committee of the Canadian Historical Association wishes to announce that it is soliciting nominations for its Certificats of Merit Awards. These annual awards are given for meritorious publications, or for exceptional contribu­ tions by individuals or organizations to régional history. Nominations and suppor- tive documentation for candidates who hâve made contributions to régional history should be submitted before December 1,

The Canadian Historical Association is pleased to announce the John Bullen Prize compétition. The prize in the amount of $500 will be awarded to the best doctoral dissertation in Canadian history or related field. The award will be given in June 1992 at the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Historical Association.

Complété entries must include:

• a two-page summary of the dissertation; • a letter from candidate’s Faculty of

Graduate Studies attesting that the dissertation was accepted for the doctoral degree during the period 1 October 1990 to 30 September 1991 ; • a letter of présentation from candidate’s

THE HILDANEATBY PRIZE IN

WOMEN’S

HISTORY

The purpose of the Hilda Neatby Prize in Women’s History, awarded since 1983 by the Canadian Committee on Women’s History at the annual meeting of the Canadian Historical Association, is to encourage the publication of scholarly articles in women’s history in Canadian journals and books. Any academie article published in Canada during 1991 and deemed to make an original and scholarly contribution to the field of women’s history is eligible for nomination for the 1992 prize. Send nominations, and 8 copies of the nominated article, before March 1,1992 to the President of the Hilda Neatby Prize Committee:
