Abstract: This research deals with one of the important sources in the history of Central Maghreb at the end of the Middle Ages. It is " Bostan El-azhar " by Mohamed Sabbagh al-Qal'i. This manuscript contains important information about the history of Central Maghreb in the tenth century H. On the political side, it refers to the occupation of the Spanish Christians of the cities of the West and the beginning of the intervention of the Turkish element, and the abuse of governors of the population, On the economic side, the manuscript explains to us the various economic activities that exist in Central Maghreb, such as land and sea trade, industries and agricultural activity based on grazing, All this despite the difficult circumstances in which the region was passing at that time. On the social side, there are many texts proving the deterioration of the health situation in Central Maghreb at that time, because of the spread of various diseases and epidemics, and therapeutic methods followed by Sufism emerged. This manuscript also refers to the spread of some social phenomena such as begging because of increasing poverty, as well as the phenomenon of banditry that was widespread in Ahwaz Tlemcen, especially in times of famine.
