RESOLUTION No. 519
2010-2014 MEDIUM-TERM PLAN
The EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, at its Thirtieth Regular Meeting,
HAVING SEEN:
Document IICA/CE/Doc. 558 (10), “2010-2014 Medium-term Plan,”
CONSIDERING:
That, at its Fifteenth Regular Meeting, the Inter-American Board of Agriculture (IABA), by means of resolution IICA/JIA/RES. 446 (XV-O/09), instructed the Director General to prepare IICA’s Medium-Term Plan (MTP) for the period 2010-2014;
That, in said resolution, the IABA authorized the Executive Committee to approve the plan at its Thirtieth Regular Meeting;
That, in preparing the 2010-2014 MTP the Director General used as basic guidelines: (i) the 2010-2020 Strategic Framework adopted by the IABA by means of Resolution No. 444; (ii) the mandates of the Summit of the Americas Process; and, (iii) the 2003-2015 AGRO Plan, including in said MTP the issues that the Member States have established as a priority for IICA’s actions at the regional and national levels;
That, as recommended by the Member States, in preparing the 2010-2014 MTP the Director General facilitated a process of consultation in the Member States;
That the Director General presented the first version of the 2010-2014 MTP to the 2010 Regular Meeting of the Special Advisory Committee on Management Issues (SACMI), held on July 20 this year; and
That the SACMI recommended making adjustments to the 2010-2014 MTP, which were incorporated by the General Directorate,
RESOLVES:
To approve the 2010-2014 Medium-term Plan, on the understanding that IICA will adjust the technical and operational aspects of the Medium-term Plan to ensure that they are consistent with the Strategic Plan, incorporating the distribution of the financial resources for the period 2012-2014 based on the technical priorities.
