Reason: This message is issued in response to a message command when the message is sent to the sysrem operator. Wait for a reply if you asked a question;

Reason: This message is issued in response to the queue command. You have indicated that, if the requested p r o g r a m c a n n o t s t a r t im m e d i a t e l y , y o u a r e willing to wait for it. When you request a program after having e n t e r e d t h i s c o m m a n d , y o u r t e r m i n a l i s lo c k e d u n t i l the program starts. Oueue status rernains in effect until you enter the no-queue command or the sign_off c o m m a n d . C o n t i n u e w i t h y o u r t e r m i n a l s e s s i o n . Reason: This message is issued after you successfully enter the data mode escape characters which interrupt processing with the application program to allow you to communicate with CCP.

After you are in direct communication with CCp, you may enter:

/MSG - To send one or more messages to the system operator.

Then you can enter either:

/RUN - To resume communication with the applica-tion program.

Reason: This message is issued in response to the release command. CCP has canceled communication with the application program, and you are free to enrer com-mands or another program request.

Recovery: None.

A O 9 R E S U M E P R o G R A M

Reason: This message is issued in response to the run command. Communication is reestablished with the application program. The next input from your terminal is data to that application program.

Recovery: None.

A 1 O S I G N E D o F F _ [ H O L D / D R o P ] T E R M I N A L Reason: This message is issued when you sign-off the

terminal. The following actions occur:

- lf the name command has assigned a doing-business-as name, the terminal is reset to its normal name.

- lf file commands have been used to specify file associations, these associations are deleted.

- lf the queue command has been specified, the status is reset to no-queue.

The message indicates what sign-off option is applied.

The message reads:

SIGNED OFF - HOLD TERMINAL if either:

- You have specified / O F F H O L D . O R

- You have specified /OFF without an option, and your installation's standard sign-off option for y o u r t e r m i n a l i s H O L D .

SIGNED OFF - DROP TERMINAL if either:

- You have specified / O F F D R O P . O R

Reason: You pressed CLEAR on the 3270 terminal, clearing the screen to enter commands, or perform a data mode escape.

The system recognizes your action.

Recovery: Perform the following:

1. Determine the correct program name from your operating procedures.

Reason: This message is issued when you have entered a program request, but:

- Have not signed on the terminal.

- Have interrupted the application program you have been running by entering the data mode escape characters, and have not released your terminal from the program.

This message is also issued if, at either of these times, you enter a command but do not include a slash (/) as the f irst character of that command.

Because the slash is not there. CCP interprers your command as a program request.

This message also occurs if, after entering the data mode escape characters, you do not enter the run command, but you attempt to enter data to the program. Because you are still communicating directly with CCP, your input is interpreted as an attempt to request a program.

Recovery: Perform one of the following:

- lf you are not signed on, enter the sign-on com-mand, then your program request.

- lf you want to make a program request but have not yet released your terminal from the current program, enter a release command. then the program request.

- lf you want to resume communication with the application program. enter the run command, then your data.

Reason: This message is issued when the requested application program requires a filename association.

Recovery: Perform one of the following:

- lf you have not signed on, enter a sign-on command, then reenter the file command.

- Check your operating procedures to ensure that a file command is needed. lf it is, inform your loca-tion's data processing personnel that a reference-name specified by your operating procedures is not defined to CCP.

- lf you want to release the terminal from the pro-gram you are running, enter a release command, t h e n r e e n t e r t h e f i l e c o m m a n d .

Beason: This message is issued in response to an incor-rectly entered file command. Check for these possible errors:

- No comma between the reference-name and the actual-name.
