A alga vermelha comestível Gracilaria birdiae sintetiza uma população de
galactanas sulfatadas, que se diferenciam entre si principalmente pelo teor de anidrogalactose;
A presença do extrato bruto e das frações F-0.25; F-0.5; F-0.75 interferiu na
síntese dos cristais OxCa: promovendo modificação na distribuição de cargas na superfície destes e alterando a quantidade de cristais e sua morfologia;
Foi verificada baixa toxicidade nas células renais HEK-293, MDCK e 786-0
quando estas foram expostas ao extrato bruto e as frações F-0.25; F-0.5; F-0.75;
A exposição das células MDCK ao extrato bruto e a 0,1 mg/mL das frações F-
0.25; F-0.5; F-0.75 por 24 h protegeu essas do dano causado pela presença de
H2O2 e OxCa;
O extrato bruto e as frações F-0.25; F-0.5; F-0.75, em todas as concentrações
avaliadas, no tratamento pós dano, protegeram as células;
A presença de F-0.25, como com a F-0.5 promoveu diminuição da atividade da
