4. APPLICATION À LA SEGMENTATION STRUCTURELLE
A partir dos achados deste estudo, é possível concluir que o treinamento concorrente após 18 semanas apresentou melhorias no controle autonômico cardíaco, a partir da análise da variabilidade da frequência cardíaca (domínios da frequência) e pela frequência cardíaca de recuperação após teste de esforço submáximo. Também foi capaz de induzir o aumento da força muscular, e a manutenção da composição corporal, com indicativos (effect size fraco a moderado) de efeito sobre a redistribuição de gordura corporal causada pela lipodistrofia e do aumento da massa muscular, combatendo os efeitos deletérios da síndrome de wasting.
Considerando os achados do estudo, deve ser indicada a prescrição de treinamentos com variações de cargas, tal como a periodização ondulatória, por seguir os princípios de treinamento e segundo a literatura induz adaptações neuromusculares e metabólicas mais rápidas em comparação aos métodos lineares. Além disso, este método, mesmo atingindo intensidades altas, não foi capaz de gerar malefícios ao estado de saúde de PVHA.
