8.6 POUR ALLER PLUS LOIN

Les résultats de cette thèse ont permis une meilleur compréhension des événements thermiques ayant eu lieu sur la bordure SE du Bassin de Paris. De nombreuses questions restent cependant en suspens, surtout en ce qui concerne un meilleur calibrage des hypothèses formulées et une définition précise des interactions et des relations de cause à effet. Les voies de recherche qui peuvent être suivies dans cette optique sont les suivantes:

- les méthodes d'analyse peuvent être affinées. Les méthodes de décompaction doivent considérer des facteurs externes contrôlant la porosité tels que: la cimentation, la surpression ou la diagenèse;

- au stade actuel, une approche en 2 dimensions est nécessaire pour tenir compte au mieux des conditions réelles. Il faut intégrer aux modèles les notions de changements latéraux de composition, d'épaisseur et de géométrie de couches, ainsi que les flux thermiques latéraux et verticaux;

- une approche en 3 dimensions est également envisageable. Cette étape suppose une maille très serrée pour l'acquisition des résultats.
