It was versioned with an incorrect DOI, 10.1093/jxb/ers138, on July 12, 2012 and this incorrect DOI now appears in the print version of the article in J. Exp. Bot. (2012) 63(12). A previous erratum ( http://jxb.oxfordjournals.org/content/63/16/6057.full?sid=9eb7f9a9-2805-452f-a793-00bbf176bb38) failed to resolve it as it was published with a different doi number. The DOI of record is 10.1093/jxb/ERS138. This note is an alias to resolve the problem.
